Big Rock Brewery’s “Share in our Craft” Contest Winners
The results are in and the numbers have been tabulated – the beer you’ve selected to sip at the Festival in July is the Peach Wheat Ale! Big Rock’s refreshing Peach Wheat Ale will be featured at folk festivals across Canada this summer – Winnipeg, Calgary, Vancouver and Regina. As part of Big Rock’s “Share in our Craft” contest, each festival’s fans had the chance to submit names for the beer that uniquely reflected the spirit of their festival. It turns out that great minds think alike, because three contest participants chose the winning name for the Peach Wheat Ale served at the Winnipeg Folk Festival: Prairie Peach! Congratulations to Brad Senkiw who was selected in the random draw to receive the first place prize that includes an all-expenses paid trip to Calgary to tour the Big Rock Brewery with Brewmaster Paul Gautreau. Runner-ups Karen Heinrichs and John Boyce will receive beer for an entire year for free!
Thanks to everyone who entered Big Rock Brewery’s “Share in our Craft” contest.
Introducing Our New Forest Stage Names: Little Stage in the Forest and Spruce Hollow
Thanks to everyone who sent suggestions for the names of the two new stages that will open this summer. It came as no surprise to see so many creative and inspired entries! We are pleased to announce the names of our two new forest stages: Little Stage in the Forest and Spruce Hollow.
Congratulations to Jolene Olive for her submission of Spruce Hollow and to Iana Rinn and Ruth Luff who both suggested Little Stage in the Forest. This summer, one path in the woods will lead you to both stages – Little Stage in the Forest will be the first stage you’ll come to, and Spruce Hollow will be at the end of the trail. Can’t wait to see some music on those stages this July!
