Festival Dates and Programming Details

The 39th annual Winnipeg Folk Festival takes place July 4-8, 2012 in Birds Hill Provincial Park, Manitoba. We program approximately 75 artists from around the globe who perform electric and acoustic folk, blues, “world”, traditional, bluegrass, celtic, roots, and more on seven daytimes stages including a family/children’s area. The evenings offer up two stages:  the Main Stage presents a mix of headliners and lesser-known acts to discover in folk, world music and more. Big Blue @ Night is our evening “on the fringe of folk” stage which plays host to anything from circus acts, to film and indie rock pop bands, dance troupes and DJs.

How To Apply

In an effort to reduce the paper waste involved in mailed submissions, we are pleased to have Sonicbids as our official submission choice for independent artists interested in performing at the Winnipeg Folk Festival. EPKs are accepted through our Sonicbids account September 23, 2011 – January 15, 2012.
