I understand that participation in this Bike Ride to Site involves riding on public roads used by other traffic and am aware of the hazards involved in that and in riding bicycles in general.
I understand that I may be injured while bicycling or otherwise participating in this event,
and I agree to be responsible for my actions. I have sufficient international healthcare coverage to protect me, should an emergency occur and medical treatment be needed. I consent to emergency medical treatment in the event of injury. I further state that I am in proper physical condition to participate in this event. In my judgment I have / my child has sufficient competence and experience to participate safely in such riding. I agree and certify that I will obey all traffic laws and wear a safety certified helmet throughout the whole ride.
I promise to release and hold harmless the operators of The Winnipeg Folk Festival, the Manitoba Floodway Authority, and all sponsors, board members, and all other persons involved in the organization or acts of omission concerning this event from all actions, proceedings, demands, costs, expenses and claims whatsoever made or taken by any person arising out of my participation in this Bike Ride to Site.
In case of minor aged entrant, I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the above parties from any claims for injury or damages, which said minor, may sustain. Conduct which, in the opinion of the organizers, threatens the safety of other cyclists, or unsociable behavior may result in exclusion from this Bike Ride to Site.
The Winnipeg Folk Festival reserves the right to change the route from that described without notice. Numbers of those participating is at the discretion of the organizers and they have the right to refuse any entry.
I, the undersigned, do hereby grant the Winnipeg Folk Festival the irrevocable right and license to use any video footage/photographic images made of my likeness, acts and appearance, and the sound recordings made of my voice, throughout the course of my involvement with this event.
I agree to abide by the rules of the road as set out under provincial and municipal statutes and regulations. I further warrant that I will maintain my bicycle in safe operating condition. In the event that this agreement, in part or in whole, shall to any extent be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining portion of this agreement shall continue to be valid and enforceable.
