The Hand-Made Village celebrates the long-standing history that arts and crafts share with folk music festivals.
The Hand-Made Village application is now open.
Criteria and Selection
We are thrilled to feature artisans from across Canada whose work is truly handmade! As anyone who has attended the summer festival knows, we select artisans for the overall originality, aesthetics and quality of their work.
We are looking for a professionally presented application with some of your best photos or samples so that we can select a balanced group of artisans for the festival. Items must be created by the person applying. We encourage you to send samples as this is the best way to showcase your work. Digital images don’t show the quality and artisanship that goes into each piece!
Fees and Services
The fee to participate is $420.00 + 21.00 GST. Fee includes: one pass to the festival, one parking pass, inclusion in promotional materials, overnight storage, and a 10’ x 10’ booth space. Additional passes for artisans or assistants are available for purchase. Booth spaces provided are partitioned within larger tents, and include a ceiling, three tent sides, and no floor. Electricity is not available. Materials for display and weatherproofing are your responsibility. Keep in mind that we are an outdoor event. Sale hours are 5:00 PM-8:00 PM Thursday and 10:00 AM-8:00 PM Friday to Sunday.
Applications must be submitted by January 12, 2018 and include:

Materials will be returned if return postage is provided. The Winnipeg Folk Festival assumes no responsibility for loss or damage to sample items.
