
The Folk Exchange is the Winnipeg Folk Festival’s intimate concert venue in the heart of Winnipeg’s historic Exchange District. Located at 211 Bannatyne, behind our Winnipeg Folk Festival Music Store, the Folk Exchange is where people come together to meet, laugh, exchange knowledge, and listen to some fine music.
The Folk Exchange hosts craft sales, art exhibitions, special events, music workshops and classes, Open Mic nights, and the Live @ the Folk Exchange concert series, featuring intimate performances by local and touring musicians.
Live @ the Folk Exchange
Live @ the Folk Exchange is a concert series running from September 12, 2009, through May 2010. Noted for their listening-room atmosphere, these intimate house concerts showcase artists from across Canada.
Open Mic
On Open Mic nights, musicians and music lovers unite to share songs, inspiration and just plain old good times in the casual, intimate atmosphere of the Winnipeg Folk Festival’s Folk Exchange venue. Each night will feature guest hosts from Manitoba Music’s roster of musicians. Non-players will be charged a $2 cover and doors open at 7:00 pm. Open Mic nights are presented in partnership with Manitoba Music.

Art @ the Folk Exchange
Art of Music 3: Artists From The Festival exhibition will run February 4 to March 16. Opening reception Thursday, February 4, 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
