A Night of Original Music
The Manitoba Independent Songwriters Circle presents A Night of Original Music at The Folk Exchange. For over ten years MISC has been meeting once every month to help grow writing skills in songwriters of all different skill levels. Whether you are just starting out, or a seasoned professional looking to hone your skills, our circles bring a co-operative and fresh approach to song evaluation.
Don’t forget to bring 10 copies of your lyrics for us to read while you perform – you will gain valuable notes to take home on every lyric sheet!
Want to be a MISC member? The cost of a full membership is $20.00 and includes song evaluation, discounts on workshops and special events, invitation to perform at MISC sponsored concerts. Or just drop in to a circle for just $2.00! Includes a song evaluation.
Coming for the first time? Try it out for free! The first two circles are “on the house.” Doors 7:00 PM, circle 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM, followed by six open mic slots to perform two ORIGINAL SONGS! Sign up when you arrive, 211 Bannatyne Ave. Cover $2.00 for non-performers.
