Live @ The Folk Exchange

Experience live music “up-close and personal” at The Folk Exchange, the Winnipeg Folk Festival’s intimate, gallery-style venue, located in the heart of the Exchange District. The Live @ The Folk Exchange series highlights emerging and established performers in an intimate acoustic setting – just like a concert in your own living room. Bring a friend, have a drink (we are licensed) and take in an evening of unforgettable music.

Amir Amiri was born in Tehran, Iran where much of his youth was spent studying the santur, a 72-string hammer dulcimer that is the heart of Persian classical music. Richard Moody is a violinist/violist and veteran of the Canadian music scene with an education in classical music from the University of Manitoba and the Conservatoire Nationale de Musique in France.
