Dear Winnipeg Folk Fest Friends,
We’re absolutely heartbroken to announce that due to the COVID-19 situation, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel the 47th edition of the Winnipeg Folk Festival scheduled for July 9 to 12, 2020.
We care about you and your health, first and foremost, and we cannot plan and deliver the Winnipeg Folk Fest you expect while ensuring everyone’s safety in the difficult current conditions.
Although we will not be able to reunite at Birds Hill Provincial Park this year, we look forward to seeing you and being together again in July 2021.
Please hold on to your cherished memories of past Folk Fests and know you will create new ones when we’re able to do it safely – singing along to our favourite tunes with friends and family, dancing under the warm sun and seeing a crowd of smiling faces.
You may have heard that arts organizations are being devastated by this crisis – the Folk Festival is no exception. Since there won’t be a festival this year, your help is still critical. If you are able, we invite you to please make a gift.

We know these are challenging times, but our community is resilient and through moments of sorrow or joy, music is always there to connect us, help us and heal us.
Thank you – audience members, volunteers, donors, sponsors, suppliers and artists. Thank you for your love and support. We love you too. And, we need you. There is no Folk Fest without you.

2020 Refund Information
Our Refund Request Form closed on Friday, May 15. If you did not meet this deadline do not worry the Refund Request Form was designed to provide those who wished to donate their tickets the option to do so. Since the deadline has passed we will assume all unfulfilled orders are refunds. As a result, you can expect a full refund to appear on the original card of purchase within 30 days.
We appreciate your patience and support as this process takes time and our staff is working hard to make sure everybody receives their refund or charitable tax receipt. If you have any other questions, please contact us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org
