Folk in the City: Live at The Burt

 

The Winnipeg Folk Festival is thrilled to present Folk in the City: Live at the Burt in partnership with True North Streaming. These four free online shows will take place March 7, 14, 21 and 28 at 7 PM CT as part of the Manitoba Government’s Safe at Home Manitoba. Folk in the City: Live at the Burt will feature incredible local talent performing on stage at the Burton Cummings Theatre and backstage interviews with artists sharing their favourite Winnipeg Folk Fest memories. All shows can be viewed live on both the Winnipeg Folk Festival Facebook page and YouTube channel.

Folk in the City: Live at the Burt will feature past Festival friends and new Festival friends with everything from hip hop to soul, African rhythms to American Gospel and early swing to Americana.

Featuring folk and country musician Andrina Turenne, Americana performer Kris Ulrich, folk and blues artist Little Miss Higgins, and roots duo The Small Glories.

Sunday, March 14 at 7 PM CT

Enjoy the soulful three-part harmonies of Sweet Alibi, the deep baritone vocals of Richard Inman and alt-folk musician Micah Erenberg.

 

Folk in the City: Live at the Burt – Episode 3

Sunday, March 21 at 7 PM CT

Featuring acoustic soul artist JP Hoe, Romani jazz and early swing band Juvel and country duo Fortune Block.
