Terms & Conditions

  1. The contest is open to residents of Manitoba, aged 18+. Employees, affiliates, and family members of Winnipeg Folk Festival are not eligible to participate.
  2. Follow the instructions outlined in the contest post (e.g., follow our page, like the post, tag a friend, share to your stories, etc.). Multiple entries (e.g., tagging multiple friends) are not allowed. No purchase is necessary to enter.
  3. One winner will receive the prize outlined in the social media post. The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or other products.
  4. The winner will be randomly selected from all eligible entries and announced on October 1 via direct message and/or story announce on the platform that the contest was posted on. The winner has 24-48 hours to claim their prize. If the winner does not respond within this time, another winner will be selected.
  5. By entering, the winner agrees to the use of their name and/or social media handle in any promotional materials related to this contest.
  6. This contest is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram, Threads, TikTok, X, or YouTube. Winnipeg Folk Festival is not responsible for lost, late, or incomplete entries or for any issues with contest entries due to technical or internet failures.
  7. The Winnipeg Folk Festival reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the Winnipeg Folk Festival’s control makes it necessary to do so. The Winnipeg Folk Festival reserves the right to hold, void, cancel, suspend, or amend the promotion where it becomes necessary to do so.
  8. Insofar as is permitted by law, the Winnipeg Folk Festival, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking part in the draw or taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Winnipeg Folk Festival, its agents or distributors or that of their employees.
  9. The Winnipeg Folk Festival reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions from time to time and any updated version will be effective as soon as it is published on the website.
