Galaxie Young Performers Program

Applications to the 2013 Galaxie Young Performers Program are now closed. If you submitted your application and support materials before 6:00 PM on April 8 and have not received a confirmation e-mail by April 12, please get in touch with us. Successful applicants will be notified by April 30.

*NOTE RE: FESTIVAL CAMPING – If you are committed to camping in the Festival campground at the 2013 Winnipeg Folk Festival, please purchase a festival pass with camping now, as Festival camping may sell out before YPP participants are notified. Successful applicants can resell/refund their passes once selected for the program and will be able to purchase Festival camping through the office.
 

Dreaming of a Future in Music?

The Galaxie Young Performers Program is an unforgettable musical experience open to talented young folks, ages 14 to 24. Each year, approximately 30-40 performers are selected by a jury of industry professionals to participate in the program. Believe it or not, these young performers will have the opportunity to work on their music one-on-one with 2013 Festival performers Jason Collett, Whitehorse and Oh My Darling! They will get together at the serene First Unitarian United Church to work on their music with these world-class musicians, then get to experience what it feels like to perform in front of the Winnipeg Folk Festival audience.

Approximately 30-40 performers are chosen to participate each year by a jury of industry professionals. All applicants will be notified by April 30th, 2013.
