Tickets

Festival dates:
July 7-10, 2022

New this year is a change in our ticketing process. Moving forward, instead of using deadlines, we are moving to a supply-based tiered structure. Once Tier 1 tickets are gone, Tier 2 prices take effect, so be sure to act fast to save!

By purchasing tickets to the Winnipeg Folk Festival, you agree to adhere to our Safer Spaces Policy, Vaccination Policy and Terms & Conditions as outlined on our Participant Responsibilities page.

Our office at 203-211 Bannatyne is currently closed to the public due to COVID-19 so all ticket purchases must be made online.

If you are looking for tickets to our concert series, check out the Concerts page.

Vaccination Policy

Government-issued proof of full vaccination is required for all in-person shows, including the 2022 Winnipeg Folk Festival, in accordance with current public health orders and feedback from the overwhelming majority of our audience survey respondents.

We’re making the best decision possible to keep our community safe so we can get back to supporting the live music industry. We thank you for your understanding and for continuing to support the Winnipeg Folk Festival, and our commitment to the community!

Families are the heart of the Winnipeg Folk Festival community. Many fans grew up at the Folk Fest as children of our founding generation in the 70s and 80s and we want to keep the tradition of family alive. So there will be no charge for children 12 and under when accompanied by an adult, even if they’re camping!

Children are 12 and under, youth 13 to 17, and senior is 65 and up.

FAQ

How does the new tiered ticketing process work?
  • Tier 1 - A set number of tickets go on sale and are available at this price until sold out.
  • Tier 2 - When Tier 1 tickets are sold out, tickets at this price point become available.
  • Tier 3 - When Tier 2 tickets are sold out, tickets at this price point become available.

As always, the earlier you buy, the more you save.

Why are you changing the ticketing process?

Ticketing in this way will allow us to better manage Festival revenues and audience sizes to ensure that everyone has a safe and enjoyable time.

How much are tickets?

Tickets are offered at Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 ticket prices. Be sure to act fast and save! See our ticket pricing for details.

Where can I buy tickets?

Tickets are available online at frontgatetickets.com

Our office at 203-211 Bannatyne is still closed to the public due to COVID-19 so all ticket purchases must be made online.

How many tickets can I buy?

Four tickets per person and one RV/trailer permit, if you need one.

Will there be tickets available at the gate?

Due to new COVID protocols we will not be selling tickets in person at the gate, buy them online before you head to the park.

Tickets are available online at frontgatetickets.com

Our office at 203-211 Bannatyne is still closed to the public due to COVID-19 so all ticket purchases must be made online.

When is the Early Bird deadline this year?

Our ticketing processes have changed! Moving forward, we will be selling tickets through a tiered ticketing system based on a preset quantity of tickets available per tier rather than the date-based structure of early bird/advance/gate pricing. So be sure to act fast and save!

Why do RVs/trailers need to purchase a separate permit ticket for the Festival’s campgrounds?

We want to ensure that everyone who comes to our campgrounds with an RV/trailer has a place to park it. The $25.00 permit ticket is valid only with a Festival or Quiet Campground ticket and only one RV/trailer permit ticket is required per RV/trailer (not per person). RV/trailer permit tickets are exchanged upon arrival for an RV/trailer permit.

Why does my ticket cost what it does? What about funding and sponsors?

The Winnipeg Folk Festival typically receives less than 10% of revenues from government funding. This means over 90% of the revenues needed each year come from earned revenue – ticket sales and sponsorship support.

Why does the Festival Campground cost more than the Quiet Campground?

It takes significantly more infrastructure and resources to create the Festival Campground. The price of the Festival Campground reflects the additional services and infrastructure we’ve invested in to improve and increase lighting, electricity and first aid. The Festival Campground also requires more security to ensure the safety and well-being of its community.

Is a single day ticket valid for any day?

No. Day tickets are valid only for the day you specify at time of purchase and they cannot be exchanged for a different day.

Do children get in free?

Yes! Children 12 and under are free.

Do you offer a seniors’ discount?

Yes, to those 65 years of age or greater. View prices for Youth/Senior tickets on our Tickets page.

What if I change my plans? Can I get a refund?

Sorry, there are no refunds or exchanges.

Help! I lost my tickets!

If you have lost your tickets, please contact Front Gate Tickets Customer Service at Front Gate Tickets Help Desk.

Do children need a camping ticket?

Children 12 and under get in for free and don’t need a camping ticket. Youth 13-17 need a youth camping ticket. Please keep in mind that anyone under 18 needs to camp with an adult.

How do I purchase a ticket with camping?

Quiet Campground tickets and Festival Campground tickets are combined with the 4-day ticket into one single ticket – if you want to camp, you need to purchase a 4-day ticket that includes camping.

I've purchased a 4-day ticket without camping, can I add camping?

Yes! If you've purchased a 4-day ticket but wish to camp you can get an upgrade and just pay the difference ($40 for Quiet Camping and $80 for Festival Camping)! All you have to contact Front Gate Tickets at Front Gate Tickets Help Desk.

Can I remove my wristband?

Wristbands must be worn at all times and shown for entry into Folk Fest campgrounds and the Festival site. Wristbands are non-transferable and non-exchangeable. If your wristband is removed or tampered with, it cannot be replaced, and you will not be allowed entry.

If wristband removal is required for work purposes or if it’s too tight, please visit the Problem Solving line at the Main Gate Box Office.
