It’s no secret that the Winnipeg Folk Festival is bursting with pride over its volunteer community. Friendships and great music continue to bring together a community of volunteers dedicated to planning and producing great Festivals.

A MESSAGE FOR RETURNING VOLUNTEERS

The deadline for returning volunteers to register (March 1) has now passed.  You are still able to sign up for this year’s festival, but at this point your previous position on your crew is not guaranteed.  Login at myvolunteerpage.com to volunteer at the 2013 festival – the sooner the better!

A MESSAGE FOR NEW APPRENTICE VOLUNTEERS
(13 to 17 YEAR OLDS)

The Apprentice program offers an opportunity for people ages 13 to 17 to become familiar with the festival through placement with a variety of crews. This is the crew where many of our long-time volunteers got their start! Once you have applied, you will receive an acknowledgement email from us. It will give you some instructions that will help us keep in touch with you about your status. Please note that we receive more applications than we are able to find placements and therefore there is NO GUARANTEE that applying to be a volunteer means you will be a volunteer. We will begin placing new volunteers on crews in March and hope to finalize our crews by the end of April.

Apprentice volunteers also need to have the permission of a parent or guardian to be considered for the Apprentice Crew. ‘Permission to apply’ forms can be downloaded here and returned to the office.
