Moontricks
Moontricks, the electro-folk duo of Nathan Gurley and Sean Rodman, based in Western Canada, draws inspiration from nature’s cycles. Their music fuses organic folk, roots rock, old-time blues, and modern electronic production. Their breakout hit “Home” has achieved over 5 million streaming plays, and their tracks have featured on various TV networks, including Netflix and Fox Sports. They released their debut album, Currents, revealing a blend of introspective writing, soulful blues, basslines, and electronic arrangements. Their live performances, which feature a variety of instruments and electronic elements, have garnered a loyal following. Currents is an album about feeling comfortably lost, finding joy in seeking, and being okay with uncertainty.
Dirtwire
According folkies Dirtwire was the favourite discovery of the 2024 Winnipeg Folk Festival! Dirtwire stands at the crossroads of ancient Mother Earth and modern technology, blending ethnomusicology with psychedelic trance, delta blues, and their own unique styles like “back-porch space cowboy blues,” “swamptronica,” and “electro-twang.” Dirtwire’s live performances are a communal psychedelic journey, merging traditional instruments with electronic production to create ethereal soundscapes. During this performance don’t be surprised if Moontricks and Dirtwire collaborate, creating those special and unforgettable musical moments.

Will Evans creates a unique musical landscape that invites listeners to express their authentic selves. The Rhode Island-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist blends folk-inspired lyrics with breezy grooves, crafting songs that resonate emotionally. With over 50 million independent streams, he captivates audiences through his heartfelt sound, which incorporates acoustic guitar, didgeridoo, and beatboxing.
