About the Artwork

We are so excited to unveil the new artwork for the upcoming 2024 Festival designed by local graphic designer Roberta Landreth. This captivating artwork prominently features the plains bison which, much like the Winnipeg Folk Festival, is known to be community-minded and one of the best representations of the festival’s home, Manitoba.

The bison is adorned with a wildflower crown and features a sun-soaked banjo. The colours of the prairies are artfully woven into the artwork wrapping the bison in a spectacular rainbow. The rainbow represents the natural environment of the prairies with vibrant colours of lush green grass, rich golden wheat, ripe red berries, fiery orange sunsets, prairie blue skies, and fluffy white clouds.

Festivalgoers for July 11-14, 2024, will, once again, come together under the beautiful Manitoba skies to celebrate music, community, and togetherness. This new artwork serves as the perfect embodiment of the festival’s essence and spirit.

How do I log into my Front Gate Tickets account?

How does the tiered ticketing process work?
Tier 1 – A set number of tickets go on sale, available at this price until sold out.
Tier 2 – When Tier 1 tickets are sold out, tickets at this price become available.
Tier 3 – When Tier 2 tickets are sold out, tickets at this price become available.

I’ve purchased a 4-day ticket without camping, can I add camping?
If you purchased a 4-Day ticket without camping but don’t want to miss out on the campground magic you can request camping by emailing info@winnipegfolkfestival.ca and your request for an upgrade will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Please note, the tier pricing of your original purchase is not guaranteed. Approved camping tickets will be adjusted to the tier prices available at the time of the change.

Why do tickets go on sale before the lineup is announced?
The Winnipeg Folk Festival has a 49-year legacy in this community full of traditions – which for some people means getting tickets in time for the holiday season! Tickets go on sale in December because many folkies already know they’ll be at Birds Hill Park for the second weekend in July to celebrate people and music. Planning the festival lineup is well underway and we’ll look forward to sharing it with you in the spring!
